NRCFOSS Workshop at GEC Trichur

NRCFOSS is an organization working towards spreading FOSS awareness/usage in our country. A workshop was conducted at GEC Trichur yesterday by Dr.C.N Krishnan (of NRCFOSS) to discuss the issue of promoting Free/Open Source Software in the technical education sector. Two strategies were explored - one, to include FOSS electives in the engineering curriculum and two, to structure the existing labs around Free Software tools. Both should be possible - positive results are expected by the beginning of next year. nrc2 nrc1

Dr.C.N Krishnan Its nice to see that you are motivating people to use FOSS, here at NITTTR Chandigarh we too are in the same process and providing trainings ( especially to Teachers from Engineering colleges and Polytechics from All Over India).
